Don’t Miss These Fall Activities Near Treeside RV Resort!

September 26, 2023

Summer is over, there’s a spice to the air, and the leaves are changing. Time to celebrate! The New Braunfels area is jam-packed with fall activities for one and all. Come celebrate with us here at Treeside RV Resort!

Wurstfest

Don’t miss this beloved 10-day festival in November that celebrates all things German. Featuring live music, dancing, food, and drinks. Centered around German culture, enjoy great beer, bratwurst, and sauerkraut at Wurstfest.

There are also carnival rides and games for the kids. Traditional music including German oompah bands will be there, as well as country and rock ‘n roll acts. And because beer is such a large part of German culture, you get to sample many varieties, both domestic and imported.

Visit Gruene Hall

As the oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas since 1878, these historic places have hosted many amazing musicians over the years. Willie Nelson, George Strait, and Merle Haggard have graced these halls. Live music, dancing, and drinks can be had, making for a fantastic evening.

They have live music going on nearly every day and continue to regularly host big names. See their website for the latest events.

Explore Gruene Historic District

This is a charming area of New Braunfels that is home to many independent shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Stroll the streets, browse the shops, and enjoy a meal at any of several restaurants. Their motto is “gently resisting change since 1872” and we are on board with that!

Tube the Guadalupe River

Get your hands on an inflatable tube and gently float down the river. While this is a seasonal activity, there is still enough good weather in the fall for a refreshing float. Don’t have a tube? Get one from Jerry’s Rentals!

Take a Walk along the River

Tubing not your thing? You can still enjoy the Guadalupe River because there are a number of parks and walking trails along it. Enjoy the scenery and take a break from city life.

Visit the Natural Bridge Caverns

This is a series of caverns located about 15 miles from New Braunfels. You can take a guided tour of the caves and see amazing stalactites and stalagmites. The caverns are open daily and are naturally amazing! You can book your tickets online.

Shop at the Farmers Market

The New Braunfels Farmers Market is a great place to buy fresh produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, and other local goods. Choose from over 60 vendors. The market is open every Saturday Morning downtown from 9am to 1pm. Open all year long – rain or shine!

Visit the McKenna Children’s Museum

A great place to take the kids. They will learn and play at the same time, with exhibits on science, history, and art. It’s a learning environment bursting with fun for the little ones. They have events and workshops regularly, and you can even host a birthday party here!

Shop ‘til You Drop at the San Marcos Premium Outlets

This is a great place to discover your next great find in brand-name clothing, accessories, and so much more. It is Texas’ largest outlet destination with both high-end brands and amazing deals.
